Nederlands consortium bouwt tweede windpark Borssele nog goedkoper

Nieuwsbericht | 12-12-2016 | 17:45

Energietransitie biedt economische kansen

Energy economic opportunities

The government is working on the construction of five offshore wind farms that are among the largest in the world to be achieved incrementally large cost reductions. That is good except for the transition to sustainable energy, also good for the energy bills for citizens and businesses and good for the Dutch economy. The construction of the wind farms will give a boost to the industry. " We assume that in 2020 Netherlands ' n 10,000 people are employed by these projects. Dutch companies are involved in almost all other wind power projects in Europe. The government last week presented the Energy Agenda in which the route is described in a CO2 - poor supply. The results of these tenders is shown that the energy economic opportunities " , said Mr Kamp.

This new call for tenders for the second of a total of five biggest wind farms that are among the largest in the world and should be operational in 2023. Each wind farm has a capacity of 700 megawatts, which is a park enough to supply a million households. The Borssele wind farms will be built 22 km off the coast of Zeeland.

Government regulates all conditions

, the government provides everything a business needs to build wind farms at low cost: convenient locations, detailed soil - , water - and wind data, permits and connection to the electricity grid. The company that the wind farm can build the cheapest simultaneously receives the grant and the license to build the wind farm. The clear government policy creates perspective and confidence in the wind energy sector, reducing the cost can be reduced further. That confidence also want to increase the government with a long - term perspective for offshore wind energy in the Energy Agenda released last week.
