The Organising Committee of the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2020 has lashed out at the Belgian designer who has a complaint filed against the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The Belgian designer Olivier David, notes that the logo for the summer too similar to the logo he designed for the Théâtre de Liège.
The Organizing Committee issued a statement a few Japanese sneers at the Belgian designer. Olivier David has filed a complaint against the IOC for plagiarism. The logo of the games in Tokyo was designed by the Japanese designer Kenjiro Sano. The Japanese Olympic Committee said that they wanted to work this out on with David. "We provide him (the Designer) a detailed written statement, but the Prosecutor chose to file a complaint instead of listening," reads one of the statements in the text.
The logo of the Théâtre de Liège held no copyright, but David says the Olympic logo is a copy of his work for the theatre. John Coates of the Coordinating Committee of the IOC says that the IOC and the Japanese Olympic Committee have thoroughly checked that there is no trademark for the logo.
The Japanese are the least developed in the behavior of David and theatre. "Repeatedly distribute their own claims and file a complaint is the behavior unworthy of a public organisation," the statement said.
Last Friday are still famous Office Sano design team had another body used for his campaign.
On 22 september the case of David is to stop using the logo for "the Civil Court of Liège.
