Dennis wordt geboren op. In Den Haag.
‘Den Haag is mijn stad. Ik heb een tijd in Amsterdam gewoond, maar dat was het niet. Ik voel me hier thuis.’

Zestien jaar.
Dennis wordt pizzakoerier.
‘Een topbaan. Ik kon de hele ochtend uitslapen, begon om half vier ’s middags, bezorgde de pizza’s en nam ’s avonds een stapel pizza’s mee voor m’n vrienden. Die aten we op en daarna gingen we feesten in ons anti-kraak-pand.’

Tot en met zijn zeventiende.
Dennis doet de MAVO, dan de HAVO en liegt zich vervolgens naar het VWO.
‘Ik meldde me aan bij een andere school en loog dat ik de meeste vakken al had, en dat ik alleen nog maar Geschiedenis en Economie hoefde te halen. Toen ik na een maand nog steeds ‘het bewijs’ nog niet had geleverd werd me de deur gewezen.’

2005.
Dennis doet de school voor Journalistiek
‘Ik vond echt schrijven - een roman schrijven dus - te eng. Dus werd het journalistiek, want dan schrijf je ook, maar non-fictie. Na twee maanden kreeg ik een baan aangeboden bij BNN. Tot zover de School voor Journalistiek.’

2005
Dennis wordt aangenomen bij BNN. Hij presenteert onder ander University, Coolcast, Koelkast On Tour, Weg Met BNN, Try Before You Die, Spuiten En Slikken, Sterretje Gezocht, Dennis Vs. Valerio, Loverboys, Proefkonijnen, 3 Op Reis, Summertime en How To Stay Alive.
‘Sinds een paar jaar maak ik programma’s waar ik écht trots op ben. En er zijn nog één of twee programma’s die ik nog wil maken, maar daarna is de liefde misschien wel over.’

2009
Dennis wordt columnist voor FHM.
‘Inmiddels heb ik voor meerdere bladen geschreven, maar voor FHM het langst. Het was leuk, en ook goed, om eindelijk te publiceren en zo nu en dan als een beginner op je bek te gaan. Gelukkig wel in de schaduw.’

2013
Voor Uitgeverij Lebowski stelt hij Achievers samen, een boek met korte verhalen van jonge auteurs als James Worthy, Arie Boomsma en Arjen Lubach.

2014 en verder
Weinig ligt vast, behalve dat er een boek aankomt; DRAKEN TEMMEN. Dennis Storms eerste echte heuse onvervalste roman.
‘Het gaat over een jongen die helemaal gek wordt van het cliché dat alle mensen zogenaamd met de dag leven. Carpe diem, dat gelul. Alleen: niemand doet dat echt. Hij dus wel. Hij vertelt aan iedereen dat hij terminale kanker heeft, wat niet zo is, en zegt dat hij nog een jaar te leven heeft. In dat jaar wil hij alles doen wat hij ooit heeft willen doen. En ineens geeft iedereen hem gelijk.’
