Best amusante film maar geen topper.
Regisseur Yamashita Nobuhiro heeft de Japanse ster Shibutani Subaru gekozen voor de hoofdrol. Zingen kan hij uitstekend zoals te horen was tijdens het mini concert dat hij, met uitgebreide band, gaf na afloop van de film. Kan hij ook acteren? Moeilijk. Laat ik zeggen dat het niet allemaal even naturel geacteerd is. Het was mogelijk de opdracht van de regisseur maar naturel geacteerd zou het er heel anders uitzien als b.v. iemand weer bijkomt nadat hij bewusteloos is geslagen met een honkbalknuppel.
Ik beschouw deze film als een Japanse versie van een film uit Nederland waar de hoofdrol is weggelegd voor b.v. Jan Smit. Dit geef vooraf de filmmaker al de garantie van een flinke aantal mensen die een bezoek brengen aan zijn film, met veel aandacht voor de hoofdrol en minder aandacht voor het verhaal of de acteer prestatie. Ook lijkt het alsof het scenario is geschreven met de beoorgde hoofdrolspeler in gedachte al moet ik zeggen dat dit verhaal best oke is.
Het klink misschien allemaal wat negatief maar al met al toch een onderhoudende film. Een 7
